Creative ideas for the conference. What works, what doesn't
How to integrate Ethics conversations into the meeting?
The annual discussion about the time for posters might be done again. We allowed 75 minutes just after lunch. We know that it is not enough, it is never enough. The possibility is to scarify one slot of the parallel session having less speakers. What do you think? Do we encourage Poster-discussion format? E.poster sessions? Mini debate among poster presenters?
Suggestions very welcome.

I participated in a poster discussion section at the ISEE meeting in Mexico and really enjoyed it. It was very interactive and well-attended. I think that it would be great to include at least a few of these sessions in next year's conference.

At the ISEE Europe Young Conference in Utrecht we talked about having a "Science Slam", which is a modern and fun way of communicating science to a broader audience. For examples of what a science slam is you can Google it - many countries already have websites for it with presentations. In the German speaking countries, this has become very popular and we had a science slam competition at our national conference this year - well attended and lots of fun. This could be a new element - it could be done in connection with a more socially oriented activity (i.e. before the SNRN Meeting or in a lunch break, etc.).

CREATIVE IDEAS FOR THE CONFERENCE. WHAT WORKS, WHAT DOESN'T
We could also try 3 minute oral presentations with maximum of three slides. This makes it quick and interesting. You can then also fit in many more oral presentations.

Thanks Barbara for the comment. I spoke with people coming from ISEE Young and they were all excited about Science Slams. May be this is something the SNRN should try to organize as a test. May be this should be a Symposium proposal. What do you think?

After the Basel conference, there was a feedback survey that was carried out by the local organizing committee. It included feedback for the ethics sessions (3 questions submitted by the ISEE Ethics & Philosophy committee). The feedback was useful and the learnings were integrated to improve subsequent ethics sessions. Please consider having a similar post conference feedback survey in 2016.
